Painting Mirage 13P135 by Gomes Françoise | Painting Abstract Oil Minimalist

Born in the Lot-et-Garonne, Françoise Gomes lives and works in the Yvelines. She took academic drawing classes at the Villeneuve-sur-Lot art workshops and then attended the workshop of Yolande Coomans in Paris. The practice of painting followed naturally when it came to color. First of all in a figurative register, Françoise Gomes expresses a pronounced taste for the contrasts of colors. Then the color takes the step on the form to become the central subject of its painting. In her first abstractions she expresses the energy inherent in the interaction of colors. 
Today Françoise Gomes is particularly interested in the depth of colors and their variations. She paints very minimalist abstract landscapes, sometimes at the limit of figuration.
