Description artwork
The work "Lyon de puis Fourvière" represents the city with two rivers. She chooses an overhanging point of view in order to highlight the roofs of the city whose reliefs and edges will thus create an undulating movement almost maritime accentuated by the liquidity of the paint. The motif is painted with a knife and oil and plays on the oppositions between the warm colors (shades of red) and cold colors (shades of blue and green). The two rivers divide the painting into zones before the final horizon. The sky, on the other hand, repeats the opposition between cold and warm colors, the two masses being linked by the stringy and torn clouds that give depth to this space. A few landmarks (Saint Jean, Place Bellecour, the tower of the Credit Lyonnais, ...) punctuate the urban space.
