Marie-Josée Bergeron's practice is located at the crossroads of arts. Having graduated in Art and Art History, she developed a professional design practice at the same time. Her intuitive approach favours the encounter of techniques, the combination of colours and the fusion of materials. Working a bit like a decorator or a fashion designer who is inspired by samples of materials and colours to put together an ensemble, MarieJosée Bergeron mixes forms and textures, bits of fabric or pieces of paper, images taken from a magazine or personal photographs, then sticks, inserts, superimposes and recomposes them to make all of these samples the central theme of a story.
