My works tell stories of people who swim against the tide, who are different and who do not conform to the norms that society imposes on them.\n
Lukas MOLL is a self-taught artist from Aix-la-Chapelle who lives in Germany. He began drawing and painting at school and carried on in his free time. He applied to take part in a major group exhibition in Aix-la-Chapelle in 2015. He may have tried his luck "for fun" without thinking he'd be successful but he was one of the 40 artists selected for the exhibition. The exhibition was the beginning of his career in art. He went onto take part in countless events and exhibitions with his first solo show in 2017.
Lukas MOLL has always been drawn to faces and eyes. People are in 99% of his pieces. He used to be an outsider so the artist depicts people who go against the flow, are different or don't fit society's mould.  His work strives to share his experience and give audiences an insight into the suffering, sense of rejection and injustices that come with being different. The people he portrays appear in all his pieces and don't actually exist. He uses acrylic and crayons to produce his art.\n
