As a teenager, Antoni spent long days contemplating the works of the great French painters of the 19th and 20th centuries. The impressionism of Edouard Manet, the realism of Gustave Courbet and the fauvism of Henri Matisse have strongly influenced the construction of his pictorial identity. Since the beginning of his career, the Catalan painter and sculptor has been in constant search of innovation. A graduate of the Fine Arts School of Lleida (Spain), he first developed his technique through different styles, from sketching to surrealism, while keeping his freedom. Without going into abstraction, his very colorful works quickly overturned the concepts of painting. Antoni is engaged in an endless journey beyond the conventional boundaries of perception. The reality he feels and reinterprets explodes on his canvases in flamboyant kaleidoscopes. A symbol of strength and joy, the liveliness of color is a constant in the artist's work. "Collage", "Red", "Monochrome", "Multicolored", etc.: his work is characterized by a variety of colors. His work is characterized by a succession of well-defined periods, but in permanent renewal. In the course of his experiments, Antoni does not hesitate to change materials, going from oil to acrylic, from watercolor to gouache.Ó Alongside his abundant creative work, the painter from Lleida also devotes himself to teaching and illustrating books. Antoni leads workshops to pass on his passion to adults, children and disabled children. He also puts his art at the service of publishing. The publications he colors are translated into Spanish, Catalan and French to be used as educational materials in schools. They aim to make children aware of inequalities and of the actions to be taken to beautify daily life.
