Which style particularly touches you? 
What speaks to me, challenges me and touches me is what an artwork expresses, the message it delivers, the power of a gesture, of a colour and the whole universe into which the artist invites us. It is an emotion that cannot always be explained.

But if I had to choose a style I would say Street art and Pop art. Street art because of its illegal origin, which makes it subversive and temporary, but also because of the idea of taking over urban space. Street art means large spaces, frescoes and what is fascinating about the street artists in our network is their ability to transcribe all the power and authenticity of street art onto small formats. This is a real tour de force!
 
Concerning the artists of the international scene that I admire, they are numerous. JR obviously for the aesthetic but also political strength of his artworks. Vhils with his scratching technique which aims at removing, scratching and breaking the wall in order to progressively reveal his portraits. And to finish, I would like to mention a woman artist who is still too little represented in this field: the street artist YZ and her striking portraits.

An artist from Carré d'artistes whose artwork you particularly like?
It's difficult to choose just one from the amount of talent we have. But I am particularly taken with the artwork of two artists: 
Kedarone for the quality of his stencil work first of all, but also for the world of graffiti that he manages to transcribe in his artworks. His work succeeds in combining the two styles that drive me: Pop Art with its subjects that echo the heroes of our childhood. And Street Art with its resolutely street backgrounds that recall the world of graffiti from which he comes.
The second artist is Yack, an artist I recently introduced to the network of galleries but who will undoubtedly be one of tomorrow's best sellers! I am particularly fond of his colourful universe but also and above all of the numerous references to the history of art that he cleverly integrates and diverts in his artworks.

If you had to describe Carré d'artistes in three words... 
Meeting: for the daily discoveries with the artists and their universe. But also for the encounters of the customers with the artworks that will find an echo in them.
Initiation: because Carré d'artistes allows you to discover styles that you wouldn't necessarily go for and also to refine your sensitivity to contemporary art over time.
Exhilarating : for the emotion that an artwork can arouse in anyone and also for the excitement that this artwork arouses on a daily basis.

Why do you think art is important?
Art is important because it is a language in its own right. It has the ability to express and to be understood beyond words. I love art for that; its ability to express the unspeakable and to transcend reality.
