Painting 2018 by Ozan Virgule | Painting

Originally from Tunisia, Ozan moved to the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine where he joined the Academy of Fine Arts of Bordeaux in 1994. As soon as he earned his diploma four years later, the young artist became in turn a professor of drawing and painting in the same specialist higher education establishment. Alongside his teaching activities, Ozan developed his own artistic practice, enriched largely by the numerous pieces of advice provided by his teachers throughout his training, which are Francis Vignaud, Michel Marue and Daniel Ballon. The essence of Ozan’s pictorial art revolves around two major groups: the work of the material and the representation of the female face.
