Both as a child and an adolescent, Delphine developed a taste for drawing and the arts (sculpture). At school she excelled in art and received many prizes for drawing, finally choosing to study for a degree in literature along with her Fine Arts studies. She began teaching drawing technique at workshops for children where she observed the creative energy of youth and began using different materials. Having wanted to establish herself as an artist for a long time, this experience led her to quit teaching to devote herself fully to her own work.

Bonnard’s colours and Giacometti’s forms are all influences that fuel her work. Delphine uses a technique called ""mixed"" collage on acrylic paint. She rummages around in flea markets for the old lace, fabrics and papers needed for her creations. A certain nostalgia guides her work. The artist likes for her materials to have lived and to tell a story. Delphine also draws her inspiration from an Asian aesthetic that she has always found appealing. Her creations take on the form of long silhouettes made up of a patchwork of colours. At the top of these naive stalagmites she places faces resembling Japanese stamps. Like this ancestral aesthetic, any facial expression is deliberately minimalist and it is the body that speaks.

Delphine also expresses a related philosophy: to express strong messages with great modesty. Human relationships are expressed subtlety through dress code or position of the body, without ever reflecting anything in the facial expressions. The dominant theme of Delphine’s work is the relationship of one to another within the group, family, couple ... She seeks to express emotions such as loneliness, indifference and tenderness through posture and the body’s movement. Recently honoured by Chinese art lovers, the doors of the contemporary art market in Asia are now open to her.
