From a very young age, Véronique explored all the possible fields of plastic creation with curiosity; manual, poetic and musical…

When she was a teenager, she went to visit the Claude Monet exhibition at the Grand Palais and discovered the draped effect on the "Woman in a Green Dress"; she experienced a wave of emotion when facing the realistic rendering and recognized the full dimension of pictorial language. She subsequently decided to devote herself to painting. Inspired by Paul Klee, she painted on wood in a rather structured style, then, influenced by the works of Nicolas de Staël, she expressed herself through pure lines which brought calm and stability to her paintings. After receiving an award from an art magazine, she finally found the courage to push the doors of galleries.  She was then represented in France and abroad (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Mexico, United States, China) and was selected several times for the Salon d'Automne and Art Capital. Her sense of observation and listening skills lead her to find her inspiration from nature.

She absorbs herself in the light of the seaside to transcribe its atmosphere. Through her landscapes, she develops a dialogue, an invitation. She expresses her mood through color, form, and gesture... Even when painting in large formats, she’s welcoming the viewer into it and makes him a part of the landscape. She invites you to feel the wind, to walk in the grass, to smell the sea breeze, to listen to the waves, to walk in the gorse.

Her creative process is in-between realism and semi-abstraction. In her urban views, Véronique proposes to show her reality by suggesting silhouettes of the cities and playing with transparency. Thus, she goes from soft to vibrant colors and from wise and pure lines to charged compositions. On each artwork, she expresses her need to take a breath, to let her imagination run free so she can stage the colors with energy and a nourishing force.

Each painting is unique; acrylic is perfectly suited to her spontaneous painting technique. She does not hesitate to go over and over again on the canvas, using glazes and creating textural or transparent effects. To bring structure and matter, she applies different medium with a knife. For her, painting is a vital; she needs to create. According to her, creation is the inner space where one is alone with oneself, where one goes to meet one's own truth; it is a way to exist and be in harmony with the world.
