Ramon Soler Fornt | Contemporary Artist: Artworks & Biography

Ramon Soler Fornt
Trained as an industrial designer, Ramon worked for many years in the family business Industries Ramon Soler before deciding, in 2003, to put all his energy into the development of his artistic production initiated two years earlier. His apprenticeship began in two art schools in Barcelona, the Sanvisens School where he learned the techniques of drawing and painting and, in 2009, the Carmen Muset School where he practiced watercolor. This last experience is fundamental since it pushes him to abandon oil painting in favor of watercolor which will become his favorite technique. Essentially a painter of landscapes, Ramon likes to capture the beauties of his native Catalonia through scenes of daily life, maritime, urban, country and mountain views. His watercolors, executed on a cotton fiber support, offer us peaceful views where chromatic and luminous tones are subtly associated to give birth to a realistic set of softness. Passionate, Ramon works daily on the realization of his works, whether it is in his studio, on the spot or during his classes. In addition to the time he dedicates to his art and to the teaching he has been giving to his students since 2006, Ramon perfects his know-how and acquires new knowledge by attending various workshops and master classes offered by people in the business. Member, among others, of the Association of Watercolorists of Catalonia, Ramon opens his studio every year during the Open Workshops of Artists of Barcelona.
