As a teenager, Antoni spent long days contemplating the works of the great French painters of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The impressionism of Edouard Manet, the realism of Gustave Courbet and the Fauvism of Henri Matisse weighed heavily in the construction of his pictorial identity. Since the beginning of his career, the Catalan painter and sculptor has constantly looked for innovation. A graduate of the School of Fine Arts in Lleida (Spain), he first developed his technique through different styles, from sketches to surrealism, while still keeping his freedom. Without lapsing into abstraction, his colourful works quickly shake up any preconceived conceptions of painting. Antoni is engaged in an endless journey, beyond the conventional boundaries of perception. The reality he feels and reinterprets explodes on his canvases in flamboyant kaleidoscopes.
A symbol of strength and joy, vibrant colours are a constant in the artist’s work. "Collage", "Red", "Monochrome", "Multicolour", etc..: his work is characterized by a succession of well-defined, but constantly renewed periods. Throughout his experiments, Antoni does not hesitate to change materials from oil to acrylic, watercolour to gouache.
In addition to his abundant creative work, the painter from Lleida is also dedicated to education and illustration. Antoni leads workshops to convey his passion to adults, children and youth with disabilities. He also uses his art in publishing. The publications that he brings colour to are translated into Spanish, Catalan and French to serve as teaching aids in schools. They aim to educate children about inequalities and what can be done to beautify daily life.
