Using his palette knife and his canvas, the painter enjoys interpreting the landscapes around him just as much as he does capturing the scenes of urban and maritime life. Dmitry mixes bright colours of oil paint and acrylic in order to compose works with a great sense of detail that arouse the viewer, playing with volumes and luminosities in an effort to create a singular atmosphere.
Dmitry is influenced both by the masters of Impressionism Vincent Van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Edouard Manet, and Alfred Sisley, and by Russian painters from the 19th and 20th centuries and has patiently forged his own visual identity, between realism and expressivity.
