Visual artist, photographer and painter, Valérian Lenud grew up in the south of France in the midst of colour, guided by a passion for travelling and a certain artistic precocity. His first works were exhibited at the age of 8. Currently living in Mexico, he thrives off his environment and integrates into his work all types of social and cultural influences he may encounter.
Pop culture guides his work. He expresses in a joyful way his view of the world today and shows how different cultures have influenced him. To refine his creation he mixes tools, using spray paint stencils, acrylic paint and plastic arts to express his vision of the world.
His photographs are the basis of much of his painting. A vast library consolidating clichés gathered during his many travels (having crossed 30 countries and 5 continents) feeds his inspiration. His portraits full of humanity, his repeated tributes to pop culture icons (Mickey, Frida Kahlo, etc.) seek to describe the soul of humanity.
Alongside this most traditional artistic aspect, he loves to collaborate in social projects where urban art becomes a way of connecting with communities. They help save the public space by developing an artistic awakening. He has also worked in partnership with various brands and independent collectives…
