Patricia was born in Hermagor, Austria in 1964. She says that she was born an artist. The desire to create has always been a part of her. Whatever she comes across inspires her: from street art to fashion, sculpture, black and white photography, her travels, light ... In terms of painting, she explains that the only artists that can excite her are Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt (Austrian painters of the nineteenth and twentieth century) and Francis Bacon (British painter of the twentieth century). Patricia was first a fashion photographer, but evolved in an environment that did not suit her. She found her role as mediator and the teamwork exhausting. She began to work independently in Paris in the 90s with her Nikon FE2, her favourite tool. The artist enjoys the feeling of freedom it gives her. She loves nudes and movement, but revels in portraits. She takes pleasure in revealing the inner beauty of her subjects and tries to capture the reflection of the soul. Therefore, she spends long hours in her darkroom. One day, while looking at the stack of failed photographs, she came u p w i t h t h e i d e a o f u s i n g p a i n t t o t r a n s f o r m t h e o r i g i n a l i m a g e s . Her creative process is continually evolving throughout her experiments: she creates collages, and adds, among other things, acrylic, pigments or paper, her favourite material. She is never short of ideas: if, for example, she runs out of orange pigment, she replaces it with curry powder. A follower of yoga and spirituality, when Patricia begins to create, she accesses her own meditation space. She then executes the movement that is dictated by the inspiration and joy she feels at this moment. A sense of harmony and fulfilment seizes her. In this atmosphere of totally letting go, a certain magic occurs and slowly appears on the canvas.
