Portuguese textile artist Ana Salazar creates handmade tapestries using a mix of techniques such as weaving, macramé and sewing. Born and raised in a village in northern Portugal, she was influenced by the crochet work of her grandmother and aunts. After ten years in the UK, she returned to her native country, where the landscapes and cultural heritage rekindled her creative spirit.
