To paint is to enter the canvas with strength and desire. Everything is extinguished around the artist. Only his hand, his soul and the support remain in communion.

A partir de 1995, Bruno empezó a pintar paralelamente a su trabajo en la prensa, donde se dedicaba al reportaje fotográfico. Estos viajes alimentan su memoria: sufrimiento, soledad, consternación, revuelta, encuentros políticos, artísticos y con ONG. En 2009, un giro esencial: Bruno deja su trabajo para dedicarse por completo a su pasión. Sus encuentros con Henry Gault (dibujo), Miró (impresionismo y gesto) y Elisabeth Frering (libre expresión de formas y colores) en la Escuela Superior de Artes Decorativas de Estrasburgo fueron de suma importancia.

All of these lessons gave rise to a pictorial tendency, bordering on abstract and figurative: a modern impressionism. Bruno paints directly on the canvas without preliminary drawing or any photographs or other media. Memory, imagination and the soul are the engines of his creativity. This way of working imbues his paintings with authenticity sensitivity and strength. Men, nature, sky and water, everything is a source of fascination. The coasts of France, Balkan conflicts and African men are all elements that provide their colour and daily life to be transposed on canvas. Bruno paints for pleasure and to convey to the viewer the joy experienced in art.
