The bright colors of a Bonnard or the slender shapes of a Giacometti are just some of the many influences of my work.

Tanto de niña como de adolescente, Delphine desarrolló su gusto por el dibujo y las artes (escultura). En la escuela destacó en arte y recibió muchos premios de dibujo, por lo que finalmente optó por estudiar una licenciatura en literatura junto con sus estudios de Bellas Artes. Comenzó a enseñar técnicas de dibujo en talleres para niños, donde observó la energía creativa de la juventud y empezó a utilizar distintos materiales. Tras mucho tiempo deseando establecerse como artista, esta experiencia la llevó a dejar la enseñanza para dedicarse plenamente a su propia obra. Recientemente galardonada por los amantes del arte chino, se le han abierto las puertas del mercado del arte contemporáneo en Asia.

Bonnard's colours and Giacometti's forms are all influences that fuel Delphine's work. She uses a technique called "mixed" collage on acrylic paint. She rummages around in flea markets for the old lace, fabrics and papers needed for her creations. A certain nostalgia guides her work. The artist likes for her materials to have lived and to tell a story. Delphine also draws her inspiration from an Asian aesthetic that she has always found appealing. Her creations take on the form of long silhouettes made up of a patchwork of colours. At the top of these naive stalagmites she places faces resembling Japanese stamps. Like this ancestral aesthetic, any facial expression is deliberately minimalist and it is the body that speaks.
