Creation doesn't necessarily come in the form of brushing or writing a novel. This is a lifestyle. It is a process in which we combine what is available with new ideas, associations and concepts. The result of this process is something new that expresses our uniqueness. It is unification and search for new solutions. It is juggling and playing with what gives us life.
From an early age, Gregory Goy has been passionate about drawing. He then joined the drawing circle of the Palace of Childhood and Youth, where he learned the academic bases of drawing. It is only at the age of 20 that he begins to paint with oil, using the Mastekhin, which has become his favorite tool. The artist then began to exhibit while still a university student. Gregory Goy then spent 8 years working in the civil service before leaving his job to devote himself, at the age of 28, to his career as a painter.
The painter works mainly with the palette knife, which he uses in oil painting. The big cities, his favorite subject, are an important source of inspiration and are a recurring theme in his work. His works, luminous and highlighting urban landscapes, represent the frantic rhythm of life by day and night, the continuous movement of people, the cars driving tirelessly on the highways and the agitation found in all places of life and in our daily lives. The artist paints very different cities and countries: Denmark, Germany, the United States, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic ... Playing on the reflections, contrasts and light, he manages to give his creations an impression of movement and reflect the permanent agitation of these places.
