Art has always been a key part of Jennifer KEENEY-BLEEG's life. She was drawn to shapes and colours as a child. Growing up, she was lucky enough to travel and visit countless museums and galleries. That's when she realised the power of art to spark emotion, transport you to another place or make you think a different way. She now uses art and painting in particular as a way to relax and recharge her batteries. She lived in a rural part of North East America home to a flourishing artistic community. Jennifer was part of an incredible scene and landscape which inspired her equally fascinating pieces.\n
Jennifer's biggest inspiration is the colours in nature and bright colour combinations you see in everyday life. Since these colours (or the time we spend among them) don't last, the artist wants to lock them in and make them eternal in paint form. She starts by painting large strokes then soon covers the canvas. She gradually adds layers to nuance her piece. Whether it be a landscape, still-life or abstract piece, she always uses vibrant colours and tries to bring to mind a soothing location, a happy memory or a place in the imagination.
