La trayectoria artística de Niankoye comenzó en su ciudad natal, N'zérékoré, al sur de la República de Guinea. Su pasión por el dibujo y la pintura le llevó en los años 70 a la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes de Conakry (la capital). Licenciado en artes gráficas, asistió a varios talleres y experimentó con distintas técnicas. Muy atento al mundo de las formas y los colores, empezó copiando apasionadamente la naturaleza. Viajó por su país, a Costa de Marfil y finalmente a Francia, donde se trasladó en 1990. Trabajó como diseñador, ilustrador y diseñador de moda, pero pronto decidió dedicarse a la pintura. Los viajes y descubrimientos le abrieron otras percepciones del mundo y le dieron una nueva visión del arte. Liberado de las ataduras tradicionales, desde 2000 se ha inclinado por el arte contemporáneo, y finalmente ha prosperado con sus creaciones abstractas.

Situated in the center of Niankoye's hometown, the Zalee market represents his eternal source of inspiration. In general, the tropical atmosphere of markets and African cities feed his creativity. Niankoye works in oil and acrylic to recreate scenes of life in his country. The viewer finds the bright colours of Africa in his painting, but the artist stands out from the African Arts by his trend towards abstraction. African themes and his heritage is a base which he does not depart from, but he tries to interpret in a personal way. The vaporous splashes of colour transcribe the impression of movement and tumult specific to these places of exchange. Niankoye paints his country from all views as if to exhaust her beauty, of which he never tires.
