This artist was born into a family of talented amateur painters, and, at the age of four, the young Lyubomir began, in turn, with skill and passion, to practice the art of drawing. He spent his childhood in the city of Ruse, located on the right bank of the Danube, and this time was marked by activities related to boats and port infrastructures. First of all, he tried to reproduce as faithfully as possible the animals and landscapes he observed as well as the faces of his family and friends. As soon as he started school, he continued his artistic practice by creating his own comics inspired by cowboy movies, which met with great success with his teachers and friends.
With his parents urging him on, Lyubomir turned to higher education and studied architecture, while continuing to paint and study the works of his favourite artists in his spare time. After the fall of socialism in Bulgaria at the end of the 1980s, when he settled in Plovdiv - known as the city of artists in Bulgaria - Lyubomir decided to devote all his time and attention to the development of his pictorial practice. Thus, for more than thirty years, equipped with his brushes and knives, he has worked tirelessly to produce his oil paintings, with a generous and powerfully coloured impasto. This painter is as comfortable in the execution of figurative themes inspired by nature as in abstraction, and the painter invites the spectator to enter a universe where benevolence rhymes with vitality, and softness with rhythmic poetry.
