The Carré d’artistes website is for artists exhibiting their works in Carré d’artistes galleries. A selection of 100 artists from the 600 artists exhibited is shown on this website. Every month, one to two artists are replaced by new ones so that new artists can promote their work on the site.
In order to respect the creative process and allow the necessary time for inspiration, an artist only exhibits in one gallery at a time. At the end of an exhibition in one gallery, the artist’s works are transferred by Carré d’artistes to another gallery.
Yes, it is possible to exhibit in other galleries. Carré d’artistes encourages artists to promote and exhibit their work provided that the prices are consistent with the Carré d'artistes prices. However, exhibitions in galleries like Carré d’artistes must be approved by Carré d’artistes.
Carré d’artistes is constantly on the look-out for new talented artists. Our aim is to exhibit artists from all over the world and support creative endeavour worldwide. In order to support foreign and multi-cultural artists in exhibition spaces, a system of recommendation has been set up for artists.
Yes, a SIRET number is compulsory for artists resident in France. You can apply for one at your local tax office.
Foreign artists do not have to submit any specific paperwork when they are registered in their own country.

No, all works exhibited (sizes: 13x13cm, 19x19cm, 25x25cm, 36x36cm) are mounted on a mat by Carré d’artistes.
Any kind of good quality canvas can be used: cut canvas, canvas board, paper, board, wood, metal… For thicker works (more than 2mm thick), cuts must be done carefully and the edges must be painted.

Carré d’artistes galleries do not organise openings for each new artist exhibiting. New exhibitions are announced 2 weeks before the opening date, with one 36x36cm work being displayed in the gallery. Events such as dedications are organised several times a year in order to promote exhibitions and allow artists to meet their audience.
