Who would say that stains live and help to live? Ink, blood, smell... What would I do without the absurd and the ephemeral? Frida Kahlo
In the family home, in the heart of Buenos Aires, Francisco grows up in a true artistic cocoon. He blossomed next to a wonderful library, moved to the rhythm of the Chilean singer Violeta Parra and, of course, quickly sneaked into his father's painter's studio to discover his vocation. At 15, he has the chance to study with Hermenegildo Sabat, a famous Argentine caricaturist, before entering the Beaux Arts. He exhibited in Paris in 2018, kept good contacts with France, and finally joined a Franco-Argentine artists' residency in 2021.
Francisco's colorful landscapes illustrate the vast wilderness of the north of his native Argentina. Alone, facing the immensity of the Earth, the artist likes to create in the open air to better depict his emotions and capture all the nuances and reflections of nature. He mainly uses oil paint, which he spreads in large quantities with a palette knife or strong, heavy and expressive brushstrokes. The resulting impasto and texture allow him to materialize his vision of the world. Seduced and inspired by Impressionism, the artist emphasizes color in his style, marking his canvas as one would leave a stain. In his works, Francisco finds a fine, ambiguous aesthetic between the abstract and the figurative to convey his love for his childhood homeland and magnify our view of these unparalleled panoramas.
