The more limited the means, the stronger the expression. - Pierre SOULAGES
Hanniet, an artist with a passion for gestural art, draws his inspiration from the simplicity of the horizon and the raw expression of matter. Now "three times twenty", he explores the world with his brushes, transforming each canvas into a dialogue between color and emotion. Influenced by masters such as Soulages and De Staël, he works mainly with knives, seeking to capture time and intimacy through his works.
Hanniet's inspiration comes from the horizon, a simple starting point that he explores with a gestural depth inspired by artists such as Rembrandt and Soulages. His creative process is based on careful observation and the manipulation of colors until peace and exhilaration settle on the canvas. Working in oil with a knife, he favors the traces of gesture, seeking to transcend the subject to leave room for pure, sincere expression. Hanniet invites us to take care of the world and ourselves through an artistic impulse that celebrates the beauty of gesture and time.
