There are flowers everywhere for those who want to see them. Henri Matisse.
In her studio, not far from Giverny in Normandy, Victoria applies herself to represent in her works the beauty of nature and the happiness of life. Born in the Paris region, she discovered her vocation when she began painting in evening workshops at the Beaux-Arts. After a few years, she had her first solo exhibition and at the same time resumed her studies at the university to pass the Capes. Today, Victoria is an art teacher and painter and continues to share her positive, original and colorful works with her public.
Rich in emotions, Victoria's paintings are like little windows of life, madeleines of Proust, both poetic and surrealist, immortalized before being only memories. In her creations, she likes to associate painting with her second passion: photography. With inlays and collages of her reworked photographs, repainted papers or pieces of fabric, the artist explores her creativity by mixing techniques and textures. She admires Van Gogh, Matisse, Van Dongen or Klimt and sometimes borrows a little from Monet and other pointillists, nabis or fauvists. She also regularly illustrates Asian women, reminiscent of a past in the Far East. By marrying photography and painting, Victoria creates original, colorful and playful works and evokes for us the fundamental joys of a life: those of the everyday.
