SUFYR has been drawing for as long as he can remember. His notebooks and binders were his canvases at school. His kind (or exasperated) teachers advised him to go to art school but the young man didn't listen. He went to catering college to bring his two loves together: cooking and dressing a plate. The hyperactive and ever-curious man changed jobs several times. SUFYR may have had an eclectic career but drawing and painting have always been part of his life. So he decided to make a career of it in 2021 and began working solely as a painter.
SUFYR used stencils in the street but has honed his art with time in a studio. He puts the finishing touches to his pieces with acrylic, oil and pastel.
He loves Van Gogh for his life and work, Dali for his personality and Frida Khalo for her journey. The artist has a particular fondness for abstract art that he sees as an artistic movement where the artist is most in harmony with their work. SUFYR likes to portray the carefree nature of childhood, the beauty and frailty of women in society and he likes to depict personalities as a reaction to current news. His colourful and vibrant pieces draw audiences in and share the values so dear to the artist.
