Painting has become an obsession for me. Representing sultry, graceful or flayed souls, overwhelming emotions that inhabit us all, one day or another.

Decorador formado en la Ópera de Burdeos y pintor, Fabien se inicia en las técnicas del audiovisual, más concretamente en la fotografía, antes de volcarse posteriormente en un aprendizaje de las artes plásticas. Formado en el dominio de las técnicas pictóricas, desde la pintura clásica hasta el trampantojo, su arte se revela en la ejecución de una pintura figurativa contemporánea original y onírica. Fragmentos de individuos impregnados de una poesía intemporal y fantástica, las obras de Fabien nos sumergen en una contemplación "en espejo". Así, de los dos, ¿quién mira al otro?

Even though Fabien works from mixed techniques affixed on canvas, he prefers oil painting, which he likes to resort to in order to perfect the finish of all of his works. The artist likes painting closed faces, whose more or less discernible physical human characteristics are reminiscent of inspired forms of African masks or other features taken from theatrical or military history. Always represented full-face, these characters of an unknown age but with a sexual physiognomy seem to have come straight from a legendary tale, whose story could be revealed by deciphering the "scars" of colours and materials, and whose faces are partially or even entirely covered. The oil used by the artist as a final medium to complete the work accentuates this almost sacred, precious feeling, which seems to emerge from the represented subject.
