Nacido en 1960 en Aisne, François siempre ha tenido talento para el dibujo. Artista autodidacta, siente curiosidad por todas las técnicas: carboncillo, acrílico, pincel, pigmentos, resina... Aprende de sus errores y crea un estilo propio.
Todo empezó a su regreso de un viaje al sur de China, en Cantón. Aventurándose en los barrios antiguos de la ciudad, conoció a pintores tradicionales y observó cómo manejaban la tinta con gran destreza. Impresionado, captó su esencia y se prometió a sí mismo intentar hacer lo mismo. A pesar de los ánimos de su padre, el gran viajero pintaba sólo por placer mientras trabajaba al mismo tiempo para ganarse la vida y su independencia. A los 40 años expuso en la Galería Remparts de Le Moulleau. Con esta experiencia, decide enfrentarse al público y se instala en Cap Ferret con una estructura cuyo tema es "Espíritus de aquí y de otros lugares".

Drawing his inspiration from his travels and the many meetings and settings, François enjoys many types of exercises he called his "grooves". In turn animal painter, portraitist and landscape painter, his works are full of exoticism and vitality. His figures of elephants and rhinos captivate their beauty, strength and natural intelligence. Through them, the artist wants to encourage their protection, sometimes even denouncing human cruelty.
Long installed in Cap Ferret, he loves to recreate the atmosphere of the peninsula through the seasons in his "Marines." He shapes the Arcachon basin with oil and knife, drawing lines and cutting into the material, giving them the appearance of waves or dunes. A painter-traveller, François lets us see and feel the emotion of his discoveries and his loves.
