As an artist, I aspire to be able to transform reality into a dream.

Inspirado por un padre pintor, Frédéric se interesó desde muy joven por el dibujo y la pintura. Estudió Bellas Artes en la Universidad de Aix-en-Provence y, tras licenciarse, se trasladó al sur de España, donde descubrió diversos oficios: marroquinería, pintura sobre seda, joyería... En contacto con estos artesanos, aprendió a fabricar accesorios de cuero (cinturones, bolsos) y experimentó con el esmalte en frío (que produce el mismo efecto estético que el esmalte, pero sin cocción). Asistió a un taller de pintura sobre porcelana para aprender esta técnica y pronto sintió el impulso de pintar sobre lienzo.Volvía de vez en cuando a Francia, donde los paisajes del sur le inspiraban. A principios de los años 2000, tuvo un encuentro decisivo con un coleccionista de arte, que le animó a estudiar a los maestros de las escuelas provenzal y de Barbizon de finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX.

Frédéric fell in love with Provence-landscape paintings and decided to bring a modern twist to it. He uses bright colours to liven representations of streets, ports, or beaches inspired by Eugène Boudin (nineteenth century landscape artist).Frédéric tends almost to the abstract with his stylized representations. To find the shimmering colours of enamel he combines tiny glass beads in his oil painting.His painting is joyous and colourful. His works dust off the traditional subjects of the past. Much as his philosophy of life, Frédéric wishes to convey softness, joy and harmony through his painting. Humour is an important component of his work, which he expresses through the titles of his works.
