Originaria de la región francesa de Lemosín, Joëlle siempre ha estado muy apegada a los colores y la luz que emanan del entorno que la rodea. Esta sensibilidad la llevó a instalarse en Provenza, en la región de las Calanques, donde la artista encontró un eco, tanto estético como emocional, en este entorno natural, para dedicarse plenamente a sus experimentos artísticos. Abrió su primer estudio en Aubagne en 1988, luego en Marsella en 2004, antes de regresar a su Lemosín natal en 2019 para instalar su "atelier a la campagne".
His return to the idyllic Limousin region continues his original inspiration: nature. The power of trees, the softness of meadows, the water of tumultuous rivers.
Created in oil and worked with a palette knife, her paintings reflect her artistic quest for ever-greater attention to color and matter. An omnipresent element in her work, the artist plays with tones and impastos to produce a singular resonance and thus create a living, rich and harmonious whole. Her resolutely non-figurative canvases reflect a deep desire to get to the heart of pictorial matter.
