The joy of living is a notion that Juan places at the heart of his abundantly colourful compositions, in a desire to transmit and share moments of happiness with his audience. This desire has been translated in recent years into the commissioning of monumental paintings in Colombia and Mexico that the artist likes to do to offer a message of hope and kindness to local people, as was the case in 2017 when he was asked to decorate a façade of the Mexico Women's Prison. Drawing on the works of the Spanish painters Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) and Salvador Dalí (1904-1989), Juan charges his subjects with many positive vibes which reveal his love for life, for the beauty of travel and encounters.\n
