A native of Rouen, France, Olivier Martinez began practicing art at a very early age. It was through drawing that the young man expressed his creativity for several years, before discovering Posca. At the age of 22, Olivier decided to recycle an old skateboard he had lying around. He bought a few markers, eager to give the object a second life... That's how he discovered Poscas and fell in love with the color rendering and the countless possibilities. From that day on, he never stopped. After a master's degree at the University of Technology in Compiègne, Olivier naturally turned to the design profession and settled in Paris.
Olivier Martinez particularly enjoys giving objects a second life and drawing on wood. Although he sometimes uses acrylics, he prefers poscas for their wide range, rendering and quality. The painter then works spontaneously, as soon as an idea comes to mind, and puts it into context. While Olivier has long produced pop culture illustrations, he now imagines and creates his own worlds. He particularly likes to bring happiness and smiles to his viewers, showing them that they shouldn't set limits for themselves, and that they should dare to try new things.
