White Pascale

I define myself as a “searcher of emotions” and love to seize the moment, combining the spontaneity of a brush stroke with a desire to tame the material.
As an adult, Pascale began her career as a marketing assistant for various companies in the Paris area. At the same time, she practiced painting and drawing in her free time. In 1995, Pascale moved with her family to the United States; she took advantage of this opportunity to enroll in distance courses in visual arts. Three years later, she moved to Brussels, where she began to present her works to the public. Wanting to deepen her knowledge, she enrolled at the Madou workshops to practice mixed techniques in wash and watercolour. In 2004, Pascale returned to France, Touraine, and ran watercolour workshops for, among others, people in difficult situations or with disabilities. Passionate about this new work, she decided to reinforce her teaching by obtaining a degree in art therapy and, from then on, devote herself to creating and running workshops combining visual arts and art therapy.
"As a child, I drew everywhere all the time; as a lonely teenager I took refuge in drawing during the long hours spent in my room.” It is through these words that the artist describes her first contact with art. Pascale would devote herself to her workshops fulltime until 2014, when she rediscovered the joy of acrylic painting. Immediately, she took the decision to focus all her attention on the development of creations. Defining herself as a “researcher of emotions”, she likes to be inspired by nature, which she photographs regularly to fuel her research. In her works, executed from acrylic associated with ink, pastel or wash, are gestures which express a constant search for colours, materials and textures.
