A passionate traveler, Clément is a new artist to watch, full of talent and energy. When he was young, he drew a lot, but stopped completely in his teens. He went on to study geography before becoming a hospital civil servant. Despite his interest in the arts, he didn't rediscover painting until much later, during the Covid crisis. At first a game with his children, he produced his first creations on the advice of his father, an amateur painter. Today, Clément is finally following his artistic instincts, developing his style and technique day by day.

Like a snapshot of his travel memories, Clément shares with us his journeys through Europe's great cities, steeped in history and emotion. As modern as they are traditional, these urban landscapes full of contrasts and paradoxes fascinate and inspire him with their richness and diversity. He depicts a hushed atmosphere somewhere between the everyday intimacy of the street and the excited bustle of visitors. A self-taught artist, his style and technique evolve with his creations. First, he makes a preparatory drawing from photographs, usually taken by himself. On a prepared canvas or paper, he then composes in oil, usually with two or three successive layers. For Clément, the atmosphere and beauty of a city lie as much in its defects as in the eyes of those who contemplate it.
