Painting, photography, sculpture, decoration, design ... Regina.A expresses her creativity through many disciplines. The Portuguese artist began her career in graphic design in the late 1970s. While graphic design was her main activity until 2011, Regina.A continued to paint and draw in parallel. Throughout her career, she furthered her technical knowledge by attending workshops and following the instruction provided by the Ar.Co Centre for Art and Visual Communication in Lisbon.\nInstalled in the Portuguese capital, Regina.A now devotes her creative activity to painting and photography. Combining these two art forms allows her to explore fascinating experimental areas.\nHer mixed technique is based on the use of her own black and white photos which she retouches using various image processing computer software. The digital result is then printed on canvas or paper to provide a background for her painting. The artist paints spontaneous forms dictated by emotions in acrylic, once again placing her personal stamp on the photographic image.\nRegina.A’s work pays tribute to the history of the regions through which she travels. Inspired by the cultural heritage sites that she photographs, through her art she expresses her passion for all elements of a people's identity.\n
