Sophie Costa's work is deeply influenced by the American pop artists of the 60s and 80s, such as Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Her unique technique blends collage and acrylic paint, incorporating everyday objects such as vinyl records, audio cassettes and crayons, which she hunts down and recycles to give them a second life. This upcycling process gives her works a graphic, vintage character, while conveying a message of positivity.
