Desde muy pronto, Thierry se sintió atraído por la pintura y la música electrónica. Sus afinidades musicales le llevaron al mundo del músico Brian Eno, iniciador del concepto de "música ambiental". Música discreta, apenas perceptible, concebida para favorecer y estimular un espacio tranquilo de reflexión, el "ambient" se convirtió en su "catalizador artístico". Su pasión por el arte le llevó a estudiar artes gráficas y bellas artes aplicadas, y diseño textil. La primera mirada a los cuadros de Thierry se dirige casi inexorablemente a las viñetas fotocopiadas de figuras humanas que se encuentran en todas sus obras. Actúan como un imán y captan nuestra atención. Nos atraen o nos repelen, pero son el corazón de la composición. Agitando la memoria, esparce improbables fragmentos de recuerdos sobre su camafeo fotográfico. On canvas, materials are glued or bound. Metal, paper, fabric, and wood are juxtaposed to form strong or fragile ensembles. His creations have a structure and a totemic composition. These assemblies of altered and worn materials become witnesses of time, of passing life... totems that seem erected in memory of one or another. The palette is often bright and contrasting, full of pigment. Highly textured colours evoke materials, minerals and space. Thierry's paintings also lead us to the discovery of new introspective inner voyages. The symbols used - circles, squares, corrosion, links, rhythm, keys, roads, the moon, the twinkling of stars - are like many guides who accompany us in his pictorial walks.
