It's good to be the best, but it's better to be the most original.
As a teenager, Yannick AARON discovered graffiti and took a liking to it, spending most of his time practicing in the street. By meeting other graffiti artists, he discovered painting techniques and created more elaborate murals. In 2011, he decided to create his own structure and offer customized frescoes. As his career took off and he was called upon all over Europe, Yannick's confinement led him to create his own paintings, in order to offset a drop in demand and regain a certain creative freedom.
Yannick Aaron draws his inspiration from graffiti, the 90s scene and contemporary artists such as Andrew Salgado, Jenny Saville and Speedy Graphito. He brings to life highly colorful and dynamic works. Working mainly in acrylic and occasionally in oil, the painter also works extensively with glazes (transparent layers of paint) to create a play of light in his creations. In this way, he combines light and shadow with the main techniques and codes of street art. Inspired by pop art culture, Yannick's canvases are a call to joy and good humor.
