Sébastien Coueffic paints the everyday with poetry, transforming streets, objects and landscapes into colorful, imaginary worlds. His free figuration explores light and form, revealing the unsuspected beauty of the ordinary. Each canvas becomes a journey, where architecture meets reverie, and the banal becomes magical. Exhibited in France and abroad, he invites the eye to discover the extraordinary in the familiar.

Sébastien Coueffic works in free figuration while incorporating references to the Nabis and French decorative painting of the XIXᵉ century. His compositions emphasize light, color and form, influenced by Pierre Bonnard, Édouard Vuillard and Henri Matisse.

He explores classic themes - architectural views, still lifes, landscapes, portraits - playing with shadows, contrasts, always in oil paint.

Contrasts, perspective and flat areas of color are used to transform the banal into a poetic universe, inviting the eye to explore the details of the ordinary from a new angle.
