Erick Vuillier | Contemporary Artist: Artworks & Biography

Erick discovered sculpture during an exhibition in Paris featuring Zadkine, a 20th-century sculptor of Russian origin. It was a revelation: the wood, the color, the joy of shaping forms, the joy of breathing life into raw material. Erick came to art the way others come to religion. Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, and Fernand Léger became his masters. He attended the art workshops of the City of Paris and the sculpture course at the Lycée Henri IV. He discovered metalworking and the magic of welding. He completed a course in brasswork, where he worked with sheet metal (copper, brass, silver).
