Lourdes Ral is a Spanish artist at the crossroads of painting and design. Trained in art history, she worked for a long time in graphic design before devoting herself fully to creation. Her paintings depict intimate scenes: readings, conversations, suspended moments in a café or garden. Her delicate, sensitive universe celebrates the beauty of everyday life and the warmth of shared moments.

Lourdes Ral works mainly on wood, combining acrylic paint, pencil and oil pastels. Her works often spring from a sketch made on a train, in a bookshop or in a café - places of observation and emotion. Through a play of layers, textures and etchings, she composes vibrant scenes that reveal human feelings. An art historian, she draws her inspiration from French art of the XIXᵉ century, Spanish painting of the early XXᵉ, but also from ancient civilizations and Moorish decorative arts. Her works, imbued with gentleness and nostalgia, invite contemplation.
