Believe in your dreams and they may come true. Believe in yourself and they will surely come true.
Although she has always loved to draw, Chrisva was not destined for an artistic career. After studying science, she became a teacher and then an administrative secretary. It is only in 2005 that she started drawing portraits and painting them during her free time. What started as a hobby finally became a much more important activity in 2015, when she went on long-term leave. Following requests, Chrisva began to paint landscapes of the Opal Coast, her region, and participated in her first group exhibitions. Prone to social anxiety and self-taught, she learns from tutorials, books and magazines, advice from other artists as well as by participating in exhibitions.
Chrisva's work is mainly on canvas and acrylic. On canvas, she begins by drawing her subject realistically, from a photo, then she paints it with acrylics and a brush. Influenced by comic books, she uses the technique of flat tints to color her works, thus moving away from the realistic style of her drawings. She is inspired by impressionists, Edward Hooper and other contemporary painters such as Karen Mathison Schmidt, Michael James Smith and Dominik Jazinski for the color management and composition of her paintings. Through her paintings, the painter wants to convey an impression of cheerfulness, serenity and softness.
