Sandrine HIRSON is a self-taught artist who has always loved painting and creating.
She graduated in finance and HR management, carved out a career in the sector and began painting in the mid-90s. Painting was a hobby and a way to let off steam following health issues. She staged her first solo exhibition in 2001 when she presented her "Atlantide" series. This was the beginning of her non-figurative work. Abstract art has since come naturally to the artist.

Sandrine HIRSON listens to how she feels as she paints. She doesn't overthink her pieces, she prefers to go with the flow and follow her gut. The artist is inspired by the world around her, be it nature or everyday life, which she puts her own spin on. She has created her own world and vision that she shares with her audience. The artist's influences include Zao Wou-Ki and Chu Teh-Chun and Paul Jenkins' “Major Works” exhibition. Like them, she uses spatulas, knives and lots of paint tubes to bring her work to life. Sandrine uses materials and colours to create a sense of a series of backgrounds and worlds that are different and original.
