Painting is the secret language of the soul
Sandrine Hirson, born in Saint-Quentin in 1968, is a self-taught artist whose vocation for painting began in the mid-90s. Fascinated by lyrical abstraction, she finds in color a privileged means of expression, beyond the motif. Since her first exhibition in 2001, Sandrine has explored abstraction as an emotional adventure, where each canvas becomes a journey towards the soul. Her work, dominated by oil and painting knife, is characterized by a constant quest for emotion and harmony.
Sandrine Hirson paints by letting her emotions guide her. She doesn't intellectualize her creations, preferring to let herself be carried away by the moment and the mood. The painter is inspired by her surroundings, whether nature or scenes from life, and creates her own representation. In this way, she creates her own universe and her own vision of the world, which she shares with her viewers. The artist's references and influences include Zao Wouki and Ten Chun, as well as Paul Jenkis' "Oeuvres majeures" exhibition. She uses spalters, knives and various tubes of paint to bring her work to life. Sandrine plays with materials and colors to give the impression of a succession of planes and create different, original worlds.
