The purpose of Art is to stop time - Bob Dylan

Christian Hévin, painter and sculptor, began his artistic career at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lille. After exploring figuration, he turned to abstraction, where he found total freedom of expression. Fascinated by light and color, he devoted himself entirely to painting and sculpture after working in a variety of fields, including theater decoration and graphic design. Each work is an invitation to stop time, in the manner of Bob Dylan, one of his great influences.

Christian Hévin draws his inspiration from everything around him, letting spontaneity guide his creative process. His works, produced in acrylic for its speed and reduced ecological impact, are distinguished by a mix of materials, including pigments, cardboard, textiles and metals. He likes to play with textures and superimpositions to create vibrant abstract compositions. His artistic message is simple: art, as the legacy of civilizations, has the power to save humanity. Through his work, Christian Hévin invites us to reflect deeply on the beauty and durability of art.
