A self-taught artist originally from Moldova, Vadim Moraru discovered his passion for creativity in 2020 through drawing, before gradually expanding his practice to include painting and tattooing. Curious and instinctive, he explores various mediums, from canvas to wood, which he carefully prepares himself. His work blends realism and emotion, with a particular focus on light, contrasts, and texture. Through his art, he seeks to capture poignant moments, guided by a free and experimental approach.

Vadim Moraru has developed a painting practice centered on a realistic approach, enriched by a subtle handling of color, contrast, and light. After beginning with gouache, he turned to oil painting, a medium that allows him to better express the depth and texture of his subjects. His artistic world draws inspiration from Surrealism and major figures such as Vincent van Gogh, Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, and Pablo Picasso, from whom he embraces the freedom of interpretation. Balancing technical mastery with instinctive exploration, he seeks to convey universal emotions—particularly love in all its forms—while leaving ample room for the viewer’s own interpretation.
