Dom Dewalles

Dom’s work, created with acrylic paints and mixed techniques combined with a pallet of delicately chosen tones, is steeped with great poetry. Sketched with much gentleness, her subjects are generally represented in a serene state suggesting a moment of beatitude, well-being or simply a moment in suspension which belongs to a dream world.

Mainly female, Dom’s characters are gracious and seem to be imbued with kindness. In order for each viewer to identify and write his own story, the artist deliberately deprived them of eyes. Inhabited by music, theatre and poetry at the same time, the artist re-transcribes in her pictorial work all of the narrative intensity that she gathers from her three disciplines in order to enrich her canvases.
