You have to give time to time - Miguel de Cervantes
Born in Louisiana and a citizen of the world, Kathleen Caillier is a nomadic artist whose paintings are inspired by her many travels. From Tokyo to Prague, she explores cultures, lights and emotions. Passionate about her art, she has been painting in oils since childhood. Her deeply humanistic approach blends warmth, harmony and wonder at nature and the diversity of the world. Each canvas is a visual poem, an invitation to slow down, contemplate and feel.
Kathleen Caillier uses a technique close to pointillism: touches of color applied to a black background, creating vibration, depth and contrast. She paints mainly in oil on canvas, navigating between abstraction and figuration according to her emotions. Inspired by the Impressionists, Japanese painting and sumi-e, she sometimes associates her canvases with poems. Her approach is guided by the time she allows herself to see, feel and transmit. For her, painting means capturing a light, an emotion, a trace of beauty to share with the viewer.
