It is the fascinating power of the artist to suggest through his creations that which invincibly escapes the eyes of the living. André MALRAUX
Han, a self-taught artist from Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, has been exploring painting as a second skin for 25 years. Working with emotion and sensitivity, she uses a mixed technique to create works that are hymns to matter. Her painting, halfway between allusive figuration and abstraction, is a space of power and poetry, inviting the viewer into a profound communion with the work and the world around her.
Han draws her inspiration from nature, guardian of the original memory, and from the murmurings of the wind and sea. Influenced by artists such as Zao Wou-Ki, she seeks to capture the essence of things, through the interplay of textures and movements. Her mixed-media technique emphasizes the intensity of color, alternating between transparency, matte and brilliance, to create works in which emotions and silhouettes are suggested. Han wishes to offer a space where the infinite and the human come together, transcending the boundaries of reality to convey a message of emotion, reconciliation and communion.
