Virginie Brunet sculpts often neglected pieces of wood to reveal their uniqueness and original luminosity. She employs the ancestral Japanese techniques of Shou-sugi-ban and Kintsugi, which allow light to penetrate through the cracks in the wood, celebrating its imperfections.
