In search of the light.
French artist of Polish origin, Ludovic grew up in a united and creative family. He discovered drawing and pastels at an early age with his father, himself an abstract painter. Working as a designer-watchmaker, he uses his pencil to imagine and design the mechanisms and micro-components of the most beautiful watches. At the same time, he studied academic techniques at the Emile Cohl art school in Lyon. Since 2016, Ludovic has been developing his style in a nude workshop and exhibiting regularly, perpetuating the family tradition while following his own sensibility.
With a great artistic sensitivity, Ludovic observes the world around him and captures the moment to magnify it on canvas. First in photography and then in his art, he is inspired by his travels around the globe and enjoys exposing design and architecture in his panoramas. He also takes particular care with the expression and the face of his characters to give them unique and original features. A figurative artist who is very attached to the play of light and contrasts, he takes advantage of oil painting, usually with brushes, while sometimes using his fingers or a knife to vary the textures. He admires the vision of the impressionists and their talent for simplifying their subject matter, always bordering on the abstract. In his works, Ludovic strives to go to the essential to sublimate it in order to touch and mark his audience.
